The Visa Commercial Pay App is the easiest, most secure way to create and send payment for business purchases to employees, contractors, or interviewees, removing the need for them to pay using personal or corporate cards.
The Visa Commercial Pay App is also great for corporations using travel agencies to book flights or hotels. The app provides access to flight or hotel booking information and allows travelers to resend authorization forms and take pictures of invoices.
Cashless payments have become the norm. Paying virtually either by tapping your phone or buying something with a click on your desktop is something we do naturally for our personal purchases, we no longer need to carry a card.
However, in the world of business it's still different. Companies may only issue you a plastic corporate card or you may have to use a personal card or cash and have to submit expense claims, waiting to be reimbursed.
There is a better way to pay for business. The Visa Commercial Pay App supports creating and receiving virtual cards for business on a mobile device across multiple banking partners.
The Visa Commercial Pay App allows anyone in the business, who doesn’t typically have access to a corporate card to pay with single use payment cards for any approved corporate expense.
Cards can be created for employees, contractors, or interviewees to pay for business expenses easily and securely.
Virtual cards are secure, unique payment cards created for a single purchase. You can specify how much money you want the card to be available for and when you’d like to be able to use the card and we’ll instantly create a card for you to use.
Virtual cards are great for corporations as all spend data flows back to a single, centralized account with powerful centralized data. As an employee, you are no longer out of pocket or having to submit expense claims.
The Visa Commercial Pay App works by generating secure virtual payment cards on a mobile device for a single online purchase.
Payments can be triggered in two ways:
Employees can create cards directly on their mobile device.
Finance managers can issue cards to an employee's device for a predefined amount, supplier, and duration, using the Visa Commercial Pay Control desktop interface.
The Visa Commercial Pay App supports Android and iOS devices, including iPads and iPhones.
You can also pay with Digital Wallet cards on an Android or iOS smart watch that supports Digital Wallet payments.
Windows, Blackberry, and any other mobile devices with operating systems outside of Android and iOS are not supported.
The Visa Commercial Pay App are safer than using a plastic credit, debit, or prepaid card.
Each payment card is a virtual card. Virtual cards are secure, unique payment cards created for a single purchase. You can specify how much money you want the card to be available for and when you’d like to be able to use the card and we’ll instantly create a card for you to use.
Every transaction on your devices requires authentication with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. Payment cards held within a Watch are protected by the passcode, the passcode is required every time you put on the device or when you pay using contactless payment using the wallet.
The card number and identity aren’t shared with the merchant. When you pay in stores, neither Visa nor your device sends the actual card numbers to merchants. When you pay within apps and on the web, the merchant will only receive information like name, email address, billing and shipping addresses that you authorize to share to fulfill the order.
The Visa Commercial Pay App has been fully certified by Apple Pay and Google Pay.
The Visa Commercial Pay App supports two types of virtual cards:
eCommerce cards can be used to make online payments to one specific merchant.
Digital Wallet cards can be added into Apple Pay or Google Pay for on-the-go contactless or in-app payments at multiple merchants.
When you contact support, for them to resolve your query effectively, you may be asked to provide information such as your Device details. You can access a list of all these key parameters from Profile > About, including Device details, Privileges, Digital Wallet support and Session details.
Click Copy to copy the screen parameters to your clipboard so that you can easily paste them into an email to support.
Holding down the app tile will open the options menu with the available actions. Tapping Create Card will open the app and authenticate the user. After authenticating, the app will launch directly into the create a card workflow.
This is currently only available for iOS devices.
If you do not have the correct user role and permissions to create a card, you will see a pop up message confirming this.
Tapping Capture Receipt will open the app and authenticate you. After authenticating, the app will launch directly into the capture receipt workflow.
